Terms of Service

1. What ¡Vamos! is

¡Vamos! is an invite-only, adaptive Spanish-learning service provided by an independent operator in Norway ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• Accounts are created by invitation only. Keep your sign-in link confidential.
• You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person; don't share accounts.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law or violate others' rights using the service.
• Scrape, bulk-download or republish the lesson content.
• Attempt to bypass access controls, quotas or security measures.
• Reverse-engineer the service except where the law allows it.
• Submit content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes third-party rights.
• Use automated tools to generate answers or farm XP.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you submit (writings, recordings, answers). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely to operate and improve the service (e.g. to generate corrections and adapt your plan). We do not publish your submissions or use them to train third-party foundation models.

5. Our content

Lessons, guides, exercises, audio and software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning while your account is active. See the End User Licence Agreement for details.

6. AI-generated feedback

Feedback from the tutor (corrections, explanations, conversation) is generated by third-party AI models and may occasionally be wrong or incomplete. It is educational guidance, not professional advice, certified assessment, or an official CEFR/DELE evaluation. Which providers we use, and what they receive, is listed in the Privacy Policy and the AI Transparency Notice.

7. Fees

The service is currently free for invited users. If we ever introduce paid features, we will say so clearly in advance and you can cancel before being charged.

8. Availability and changes

This is a one-person project provided "as is". We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Some features depend on external AI services and their free usage limits, so AI feedback or studio-quality audio may be temporarily unavailable — in that case the app falls back to your device's built-in voice or asks you to try again later. We may change, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical, including swapping an AI provider for an equivalent one. You can export your data on request before deletion.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including lost data, lost profits or interrupted learning). Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, during the free period, is zero). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence.

10. Termination

You can stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time via support@vamosespanol.com. We may terminate access for breach of these Terms or if the service shuts down (with notice where practical).

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes go to the courts of Norway, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to sue in your country of residence. If you are an EU/EEA consumer, you can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
